Chaffles
Yogurt Chaffles (cheese waffles) are an easy, cheesy breakfast or snack recipe for the whole family to enjoy. With less than five ingredients needed, you can whip these up in no time! No waffle maker? No worries! You can make cheesy pancakes in a non-stick pan instead.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tbsp EasiYo Greek Style Unsweetened Yogurt
- 1 cup grated cheese, lightly packed
- 6 Tbsp self-raising flour
- Pinch salt & pepper
- Extra cheese to sprinkle
Toppings
- EasiYo Greek Style Unsweetened Yogurt
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Avocado slices
- Cherry tomatoes
- Shaved ham
- Smoked salmon
- Chives, chopped
- Fresh basil leaves
Method
- Turn on the waffle iron to heat.
- Whisk the eggs and yogurt together until combined.
- Add the flour and gently whisk in.
- Lastly fold in the grated cheese.
- Scoop small spoonful’s of mixture into the hot waffle iron and sprinkle over a little extra grated cheese if desired (the mixture puffs up so don’t overfill).
- Close the lid and cook for 3-5 mins until cooked to your liking (less time for a softer chaffle or more time for crisper chaffle).
- Place on a wire rack and keep warm while you cook the rest.
- Top with extra yogurt, drizzle over sweet chilli sauce and top with shaved ham, cherry tomatoes and chives or smoked salmon, fresh basil and avocado slices.
